Create Excel Workbook Stoped WorkingI have a script that I use routinely to process some data. Part of this script takes some of the JMP tables that are generated and saves them to an excel workbook. Sometime within the past month or two this function has stopped working; the excel workbook is created and saved in the working folder, but the xlsx file will not open.
The code is pretty simple:
// Create xlsx
tableList = {dt1, dt2, dt3};
sheetList = {"RAW", "PP", "ppm"};
Create Excel Workbook(export_filename, tableList, sheetList);
Any ideas as to why this stopped working and how to fix it.
Thanks
Re: Create Excel Workbook Stoped WorkingI'm sorry for the difficulty.
Can you be more specific about how the .xlsx file won't open? Are you expecting Excel and the workbook to open automatically after the file is saved?
Or, do you mean that you try to open the file in Excel and it won't open? If so, is there any error message from Excel?
Re: Create Excel Workbook Stoped WorkingThe code looks correct to me. Wondering if you have a bug somewhere that is causing issues with the variables in your table list?
Re: Create Excel Workbook Stoped WorkingHi Jeff,
When I try to open the file in excel, nothing happens, Excel locks up with no error message.
This was all working fine until a couple of months ago, from then on the excel files seem to be getting corrupted, or something like that.
Thank you,
Aaron
Re: Create Excel Workbook Stoped WorkingHi Sam,
Thanks for thinking about this. My code was working for a long time, and then without any change on my part, the excel files have stopped opening in Excel. It's like something changed due to an update, either JMP or Microsoft. I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas.
Thank you,
Aaron
Re: Create Excel Workbook Stoped WorkingThis is curious. So, to be clear, the .xlsx file is created and Excel locks up when you try to open it.
- Are you trying to open it by double clicking on it?
- When you say Excel locks up, do you have to kill Excel using the
- If you try to open this same Excel file on another computer does it work?
