Hi,
A number of you have asked for what the experience is like when running JMP or JMP Pro when a customer licenses JMP Presentation Virtualization.
I have created two (2) instances for trying out JMP Pro in a presentation environment running in cloud environment.
Each instance is (should be) identical and have been configured with the following--
- JMP Pro server 15.2
- postgreSQL database v12.x
- postgreSQL ODBC driver 64 bit
- dvdrental sample database for use with QB
Each instance has been configured with 32GB RAM and 50GB disk storage with 4vCPUs.
host OS: Windows 2019 server OS
Please delete data or work together to use the limited storage capacity.
You will need to establish a VPN connection before launching the remote desktop connection.
Download the remote desktop clients for connecting to the instance; passwords are contained in the same folder.
For Mac--You will need the Microsoft Remote Desktop app to launch one of the pre-configured .rdp connections.
For Windows: Remote Desktop Connection should be pre-installed.
How do I access my files?
You can use either Chrome of Firefox browser and access files from your OneDrive account.
Alternatively, but not recommended--as this is a shared account.
To mount your local filesystem or access folders from your disk right-click on the .rdp connection and select Folders tab.
Check the redirect folders. Click the + to navigate to a network share or folder.
Access Local Disk or foldersAccess Local Disk or foldersAccess Local Disk or folders
To save the username and password so you do not need to enter it every time--
right-click on the .rdp connection and select user account and change from 'Ask when required' to 'Add User Account...'
Username: JMPSE
Password: can be retrieved from OneDrive

Hi All,
Please note:
The environments mentioned in the article have been decommissioned at the request of SAS IT.
They do not exist and are not accessible.
cheers,
Stan
@dara_hammond
No I would not recommend sending them to the STIPS course for evaluation of JMP PV.
If they want to kick the tires I recommend they do an evaluation in their preferred deployment environment.
cheers,
Stan
@stan_koprowski is it the preference of JMP to send people who want to kick the tires on this deployment experience to STIPS? it would be impossible to create a site externally right because they'd be logging into our servers, or am i missing something. rare, but it happens
