Build your network by connecting with JMP staff around the world
(over a beverage of your choice - coffee is not mandatory!)
The number one goal of JMP Academy is to "help attendees create a starting network for post support and on-going development." After attending, we want you to have a "ready-made network of helpful global friends."
To help you with this we are asking you to use some of your time between our sessions to connect with JMP staff around the world. Book a 15 or 30 minute MS Teams call to meet a JMP colleague for the first time and have a chat over a coffee (or other beverage).
In this first week you will be hearing about the JMP Brand and you will have a team homework exercise about using social media. The JMP staff in the list below are all experts in using social media to tell the world about JMP. We have asked them to be available for some time Wednesday to Friday this week to talk with you.
Next week we will a different list of JMP people for you to connect with.
What you need to do
1. Decide who you will connect with. Connect with as many people as you like but - of course - be polite and considerate of your colleagues' workloads and timezone differences! You can decide if you want to do this on your own or with others in your JMP Academy class. I think that 2 or 3 of these meetings each week is a good number.
2. Make the connection and schedule the time for your calls. Use MS Teams. 15 or 30 minutes should be long enough.
3. Talk with them about:
- Their experiences of using social media at JMP
- What they do at JMP
- Where they are based and what it is like
- Anything else!
4. Let us know how this goes. What did you find out? How many people did you connect with?
