Watson LIMS 7.6

Hi,

I have a customer wondering if "it would be possible to query data stored in Watson LIMS 7.6 (from ThermoScientific)" using JMP. I tried to find something in the documentation but it isn't clear to me. Does anyone know, or is there some additional information we would need to be able to answer?

Hi Hadley,

Yes it should be possible. In a former role I helped to write an interface to an earlier version of Watson using base SAS and the SAS access engine for Oracle to pull data into a PK software tool.

We have had a few customers connect using QB with the proper ODBC driver do the same since I joined JMP as well.

The last one I recall doing this was BioMarin Pharmaceuticals in 2017.

I have attached a data dictionary for v7.2 which is very similar to the version I had used previously.

I would imagine the differences are the addition of new tables as the releases move forward.

We have been approached by Thermo and Labware to interface directly so they can create a DOE in JMP and download the runs to the LIMS system for processing.
