"Don't forget to take breaks," said John Sall during the midyear division update. What a wonderful reminder to take care of ourselves -- as well as our business -- at this stressful time. Sall said he is taking more walks, and discovering wildlife and nature all around him, such as this anole he photographed.
“It’s not business as usual,” said Sall alluding to the current state of the world. “But we’re JMP, and JMP is still growing. We remain healthy in our financial reliability.”
Sall mentioned that individuals and the division as a whole are making good things happen. “Next week we’ll have JMP Academy,” he said, mentioning several ways we’re conducting business. And, of course, “the releases are still releasing.”
Sall called this ability to keep going “resilient.” In fact, he made a “word cloud” of “Resilience” saying that it’s his word of the half year. He added, “In some ways, we’re more connected than ever before.”
Also in the update, Sall talked about exceptions when offices open, Jon Weisz shared the first half numbers, Dieter Pisot went through some JMP Live FAQs, and Dave Richardson covered sales successes and challenges in the Americas and across Europe. If you missed the Webcast, you can watch it now.
