Scraping text from FunRetro discussion boardHi,
You may know that we recently ran a DOE workshop with the Royal Society of Chemistry. There was a huge number of registrations so one way that we had for people to ask questions was this FunRetro board:
https://funretro.io/publicboard/rJCsCqHDCzaAolWBkGelpMG5wWr2/ea265bfe-b52a-4f5d-8859-e1dcdcabbe35
You can see questions/comments for days 1 through to 5.
It would be nice to explore this text but I'm not sure if there is an easy way to turn this into a JMP table.
(Export to Excel is only possible in the paid version, I am told)
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Phil
Re: Scraping text from FunRetro discussion boardAnother idea is to save the html file locally and then use regular expressions to find the text between the tags that delimit the text of the comments. There is at least one lengthy discussion in the Community about such an approach.
Re: Scraping text from FunRetro discussion boardHi Phil,
Attached is a .pdf of the content and a JMP data table.
cheers,
Stan
Re: Scraping text from FunRetro discussion boardThanks! Needs a fair bit of cleaning up but it is a good start.
