Sample Size and Power Platform

Question

We need your input. In JMP 16 we are adding a new Sample Size Explorers platform under the DOE menu. The intention is to ultimately replace the legacy Sample Size and Power Platform.

Most of the functionality from the old platform is included in the new platform, which will be much more interactive and comprehensive. We need your input on two of the calculators in the old platform:  Counts per Unit and Sigma Quality Level.

Do you have customers using these two calculators? Do we need to include this functionality in the new platform?

Thank you for this input Martin! The current plan is to keep the current Sample Size and Power platform in JMP 16, and to add these features to the new Sample Size Explorers platform in JMP 17. Will add details when the plan is more firm.

Hi Mia,

I know that some customers do these calculations, but nt sure if they use JMP for that or simply Excel or Minitab.

If it does not cost much I would leave them in.
