|
Model Screening (Pro Only) |
Sentiment Analysis and Term Selection (Pro Only)

| What it does |
Allows for users to record different actions and then catalogs each action in a more structured layout (instead of plain text) within the log.
More efficient way to capture what a user does during an interactive JMP session.
|
Sends email notifications with actionable information to interested parties when warnings are triggered.
|
Gives users the ability to run and compare multiple models, compare and select models and then explore to decide whats best - all within a singular platform.
|
Sentiment analysis is part of the text explorer platform that helps you interpret and classify emotion in unstructured text data.
Term selection uses Gen Reg to help find terms that are related to a response.
|
Benefits
|
Save time during data cleanup
Makes it easier to reproduce results on a regular basis ("show your work")
Makes it easier for a point-and-click JMP user to develop/manage a production script.
Gets users more comfortable with JSL "JSL training wheels".
Helps make JMP sticky.

Here are the questions and answers from the 10.29.20 JMP Preview Training session:
Action Recorder/Enhanced Log:
Q: Are the new log scripts backwards compatible? @Bill_Worley
A: All the ones I've made have been (Mike Anderson)
A: Agree with Mike- I have yet to run into an issue (Peter Hersch)
A: I think the same rule as all JSL applies - if it's not a supported feature in that release then the script won't work (Mike Anderson)
A: But there are some new JSL structures in 16 that (the new For each Item loops) that won't work in 15. Those might pop up in a script (Mike Anderson)
Control Chart Warnings:
Q: If one step needs to be removed, can I do so and the script will be adjusted? @YvesJMP
A: yes, you can just not select that step (when you copy the script from the log), remove it from the log (right click), or just delete the step in the script itself. (Mike Anderson)
Q/Comment: Can we add more information about warning email, like paremeter, equipment id and etc. @JasonChen
A: Right now the title is your best bet to add additional information about these extended parameters. Iâve added a suggestion to allow more customization in the email to be considered in a future version of JMP Live.
Model Screening:
Q: Does this add interactions and quadratic effects for the GenReg techniques? @Peter_Hersh
A: Yes Peter Hersh if you select those options from the launch menu. (Dan Valente)
Q; How does the new feature model screening different from model compare ? @PIN
A: Pin Hu -- it's complimentary to model comparison. You can run model comparison from Model Screening after you pick the candidate models you are interested in. (Dan Valente)
A: Pin Hu, with Model Screening you don't need to run each model individually, or save formulas to the data table. (Mia Stephens)
Q: Will the Cut-off-point control be added to all platforms? @bernd_heinen
A: Decision Threshold is also available in Model Comparison. There arenât current plans to add it to individual platforms outside of Model Screening. You can save the cutoff to the profit matrix to apply in individual modeling platforms if desired.
Sentiment Analysis:
Q: Can you customize ambiguous words/phrases, e.g. "too spicy" that could be negative or "great spice taste" could be positive? @alisa_h_lowery
A: you can add particular phrases as sentiment terms - context and domain knowledge are really important. (Mia Stephens)
A: You can make phrases terms just like normal TE (Hyde Miller)
Q: Can this be applied to different languages? If a user can upload their own sentiment terms for example? @James_Bark
A: Sentiment support is English only at this point, in that the built-in dictionaries are in English. But yes, they can upload their own sentiment terms, negators and intensifiers (Much like managing stop words). There is an option to change the language, but there are no sentiment terms loaded for languages other than English.
Q: Can the assigned sentiment scores be saved as part of an export as well? @christianstopp
A: You have manage sentiment tool like manage stop words (Hyde Miller)
A: Just like manage stop words, you can manage sentiment terms and scores.
Hey @stankoprowski0 - eric updated the settings. you should be able to view now. let me know if that didn't work.
Hi @saradoudt
Do you need to grant access to everyone to enable viewing of video links?
I tried to access the JMP Live Iteration Demo and received an alert that I did not have access to the resource.

Can you take a look.
Thanks,
Stan
