Some guidelines for posting customer facing content in the JMP User Community, for example, in the private support areas.
If posting a recording or other supporting material for a live or virtual event think of the post as not just a resource for those who were there but for everyone who may come across it.
- Title it based on the session content or name (i.e., Using Graph Builder Effectively instead of Journal from Graph Builder Session on XX/XX/2020).
- Embed the recording. Download it from WebEx/Zoom and upload it to the Community. Don't just link to the recording in Zoom/WebEx. BTW: The video should be embedded in the post using the Video Camera icon in the tool bar, not attached as a .mp4/.mov.
- Put content for the topic on the page (i.e., give them some of the content on using graph builder effectively). You may be able to copy/paste from your journal for this.
- If you present a PowerPoint that is mostly text, export it to RTF/DOC and you can copy/paste that as well.
- Include links to other learning content (e.g., Mastering, documentation, etc.).
- Attach journal/data tables, etc.
The short version is to think of it as a way to share the content, not just a file/recording sharing mechanism. Though you should include a note that the material was delivered at such-n-such time/place.
