<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />Is there a setting in the Excel Import Wizard that will cause it to import the actual underlying values in the cell? Current behavior seems to be to figure out what formatting is in place for a particular cell, and import the value according to that cell format.
Example:
I make an Excel Sheet with
A1 = Value
A2 = 0.0123
And format A2 as a Number with 2 decimal places.
Then I save the file, and use the Excel Wizard to load this file, then the JMP Data Table reports :Value[1] = 0.01.
I would prefer JMP to load the underlying value, 0.0123, even though the extra decimal places were hidden by the cell formatting.
The Excel Add-in does load the data correctly, but there are situations where it is easier to open the file via the Wizard rather than the Add-in, and I'm hoping to get similar behavior.
Thanks,
Michael
Thanks, posted the idea. In that idea I also mentioned a similar problem I just heard about.
Unfortunately, there's no option for controlling this.
Please enter an idea for this and I'll make sure it gets recorded.
