Calculation of confidence interval for x interceptA client wants to be able to calculate the confidence interval for the X-intercept (where Y=0) for a simple linear regression model. Short of a JSL script or interfacing with R, etc., does JMP already do this? Thanks in advance!
Re: Calculation of confidence interval for x interceptYup - JMP can do it. You need to go through Fit Model. Under the red triangle, there's an option for "Inverse prediction." You can give it different values for Y and it will calculate the x and the confidence interval around x using a user-defined confidence level.
MRe: Calculation of confidence interval for x interceptIf you use the Fit Model platform, you can get an inverse prediction for when Y = 0. This will give you the value for X and a confidence interval around it.
