Number the rows based on number of new categories

As shown in below table I have Lot ID from A to E, there are multiple rows for the same lot. I want to create a column that counts as shown in the Lot number column below. I am new JMP user, please help me,

There are several previous entries covering this, but since it is such a simple formula here it is

If( Row() == 1, count = 1 );
If( :Lot != Lag( :lot ),
 count
 ++);
count;
