XML parsing: stop the parsing before complete it

I would like to know if it is possible to stop parsing using Parse XML function when a condition is found to save execution time. Thanks a lot in advance

maybe

throw("found something")

in the handler. If that works (I think it should) you can wrap the calling code with

try( ... , show(exception_msg) );

and check exception_msg=="found something" and decide what to do.

(Also check out the XML import if you are loading something into a data table.)
