Set Name function for column renaming giving errorHi there. I've searched high and low trying to find a script to allow complex column names to be renamed. The usual solution would be:
:Age << Set Name( "Time" );
Unfortunately, I'm pulling from a database with complex column names. Example name: ITEM@YADA@NOPE@1234-123 . If I copy the script above and plop my desired column in "age" and new name into "time", JMP does not function, error provided is Unexpected "@. Perhaps there is a missing ;" or ",". What suggestions are there to get around this so I may rename these complex database names into something understandable for the folks I am presenting?
Re: Set Name function for column renaming giving errorhey
you should try reffering your colum like this - :name("your column name") << set name....
Re: Set Name function for column renaming giving errorThe Name() function will allow you use special characters, like @, in JSL names.
:Name("ITEM@YADA@NOPE@1234-123" ) << set name("Time");
You can see this in use if you name a column with special characters and then use that column in platform and get the script for that platform.

Continuous Distribution( Column( :Name( "ITEM@YADA@NOPE@1234-123" ) ) )
