Closing a table from Multiple Import

Hello everybody,

 

This seems like a simple request, but I cannot figure it out.

 

I have a script where I imported multiple files from one folder. I have assigned a variable to that import and then use that variable to join it with another file that I open.

 

I can close the second file that I opened because I know its name and can use Close(table name). However, the multiple import file name is dependent on the files that are in the folder. 

 

I want to have only the joined table open in the end, but I cannot figure out how to close the import multiple file. My end product is always two files and I only want one.

I'm pretty sure CombinedTable is a list of data tables, even if only one table was created by MFI. Sending the <<join method to a list of data tables sends the join command to every table in the list, so that part is working more-or-less like you mean for it to. But the close(...) function probably doesn't handle a list and may be silently failing. Try

close( combinedTable[1] )

and see if that resolves the problem.
