Why Ctrl key hold function does not work for "Fit Y by X" analyses by group in JMP15 Pro?I've always used the Ctrl key to include/exclude analyses and make plot modifications in one group be reflected in all groups in the "Fit Y by X" platform. I've noticed that it is not possible to do it in JMP15 Pro, even though the Ctrl hold function is still working for other matters as usual.
Re: Why Ctrl key hold function does not work for "Fit Y by X" analyses by group in JMP15 Pro?Ahh...now I see. Yes, it looks like that got broken somehow between JMP 14 and JMP 15. I suspect it was unintentional. Drop a note to tech support (support@jmp.com) with the example you just gave me and they'll make sure it gets reported so we can address it a maintenance release.
Re: Why Ctrl key hold function does not work for "Fit Y by X" analyses by group in JMP15 Pro?Jeff,
To replicate my problem you would plot weight vs height without any "by" variable so you would get only one plot. Then:
1) From this single plot you would select (red triangle) "Group By"
2) From your table variables you would select "Age"
3) Fit Line
The plot would then look like the one attached with 6 fitted lines, one by age level.
Now, say I want to remove all these 6 fitted lines.
Usually, I'd hold Ctrl, select the red triangle of one of them, and select "Remove Fit".
All 6 fitted lines would be removed up until JMP14.
With JMP15 this feature is disabled so I'd need to manually remove the 6 fitted lines one by one.

Re: Why Ctrl key hold function does not work for "Fit Y by X" analyses by group in JMP15 Pro?I'm having difficulty reproducing this problem based on the description above.
For example, I tried running Fit Y by X on Big Class using height and weight as X and Y and age as a by column.
Then I held down the Ctrl key and Fit Line. I get a line on all the by group plots.

Can you provide some more details about which Fit Y by X personality you're having difficulty with?
