kindly looking for advice on CHAID, cluster analysis

Question

HI All,
Please help: my boss gave me Jump and said that I need to master the following types of analysis: a) factor; b) CHAID; c) hierarchical cluster analysis.
Would anybody recommend a thoughtful book/text to get a quick practical knowledge of those animals (ideally in Jump interface)? Took some stats classes, but never used either of them yet.

JMP 9 now does Factor Analysis in the Principal Components platform.

Look in Chapter 21 of the Modeling and Multivariate Methods book in the JMP 9 documentation.

JMP does not do factor analysis, but a good reference for data analysis using JMP is https://support.sas.com/pubscat/bookdetails.jsp?catid=1&pc=61654

This reference does cover cluster analysis (Chapter 18) and CHAID (Chapter 17).
