The Multivariate Discriminant Platform: In this platform, the choice of the names for Y, Covariates and X, Predictors is quite the opposite of what you would think. In discriminant analysis, you want your Y to be the categorical response and the Covariates to be your X predictors. This seems to be completely turned on its head in this platform. There must be some reason. I would like to understand why?
