To change the location of the legend from JMP's default of right, click the red triangle and select Legend Position from the pull-down list. You can choose from Right, Bottom, Inside Right, or Inside Left.
Note that you can deselect Show Legend from the pull-down list to remove it from the graph.
Furthermore, you can double-click a category name in the legend to get more options (change color, font, etc.).
