SAS® Academy for Data Science coming to Cary

Are there any plans for a similar data science academy for JMP? It would be nice to be able to offer this type of educational opportunity to our customers. It would also be nice to add "JMP Certified Data Scientist" to our personal list of accomplishments when we are working with customers.

Re: SAS Data Science AcademyYeah, but this would probably address some of that "how do we ID JMP Pro prospects in an existing deployment" situation that we discussed at the Midyear meeting this year. People who did this or expressed interest would probably be good candidates for JMP Pro if they weren't users already. I, for one, would be for the idea both for myself and as a lead generator.
I know that julian was mulling something like this over for the Academic side. Maybe this is something that we could do as a joint Academic / Commercial activity - Juilan, did anything come of that idea of yours?
Re: SAS Data Science AcademyWe did a JMP Start workshop last year in Cary. The registration didn't get turned off fast enough and we ended up with 95 registrants for the event. Nearly everyone who registered and some that didn't showed up for the event. It was very popular.
The key question: was it revenue generating? As I recall it wasn't a huge boon, but better than another event we had that year.
Re: SAS Data Science AcademyBill: In general I think this is a cool concept. I wonder how much demand there would be from a JMP users point of view? For us SEs...the devil would be in the details of the implementation for us. Every minute spent in the Academy, or doing homework, assignments, or any other certification related work is a minute we're not selling prospects or supporting current users.
