Dow uses STIPS as part of their internal training program. They have videos within their Learning Management system for each module to introduce STIPS and this links out to the full course. They also get completion reports monthly showing STIPS completions. The statisticians in R&D provide training support, they are interested in a boot camp type of program and additional materials. As of March 2022 they have expressed a desire to use more materials the can be offered for free through JMP Edu; this conversation is ongoing.

JMP related Training Programs
- Dow conducts six internal JMP training classes twice a year: Stats Data Exploration, MSA, DOE Strategy, DOE Analysis, Undesigned Data, Mixture DOE.
- They will be restructuring their training program in 2021 due to reduced headcount (recent retirements).
- STIPS is embedded in their LMS system and they will also have access to the individual STIPS videos once paperwork is complete. This will allow them to augment their courses with appropriate STIPS videos.
- They are trying to find the balance b/w the users performing stats on their own or having the Stats Team (Fabio, etc) assist them.
- Brian Clark is promoting all things JMP so will keep him informed of relevant events, etc.
- They may be interested in eLearning but not sure they have $$. Brian is going to test out the 30 day free trial.

Software Deployment
Version of JMP currently used: JMP 14.2 – rolled out March 2019
There are some folks in R&D who have 15.0 or 15.1 but the majority of Dow folks (1600+) are still using JMP v14.2 … The company wide deployment of v15 is on hold for now (likely until 2021 at least).
The main reason why we have not deployed JMP 15 this year is that it is primarily a 64-bit application. Whereas we can offer 32-bit or 64-bit versions of JMP 14. Why is that important? There are areas of Dow manufacturing that want to connect their copies of JMP to manufacturing data systems that only (at this point support 32-bit drivers). There is a Dow team lead by Swee-Teng to try to resolve this issue on Dow’s side BUT until that issue is resolved and this incompatibility between JMP 15 and the drivers associated with the data acquisition software only supporting 32-bit applications, we will stick with JMP 14.
Push/pull – how does it get deployed, repackage?
License update process – users should go to "Software Center" and re-install JMP from there, "Software Center" is an app they use to install any new software at Dow.
