What is Statistically Speaking?
A new global series designed to include both in-person and livestream events, created to:
- Increase the number of new non-user leads in the funnel.
- Create new leads from the high-growth and target accounts as identified by Inside Sales teams.
- Cultivate new interest in JMP with existing leads in Salesforce.
- Assist sales efforts to further cultivate Beacon accounts.
What are the topics and how were they selected?
Jon Weisz and the product marketing team have set the topics for the series. The final messaging is being tweaked and will be available soon. The topics are designed to map to corresponding application areas and presently include the following:

What is the recruitment strategy?
Marketing will recruit for through several communication channels including email campaigns, JMP partner promotions, professional and/or industry alliance promotions, social media and LinkedIn advertising.
How are the panelists selected?
Marketing has compiled a speaker database of thought leader and customer candidates that would be appropriate for a panel or keynote. We will use that list, along with recommendations from sales teams.
How many people are on the panel?
- An external thought leader like an author, professor, lecturer.
- A JMP employee, who might be in R&D, Technical Enablement, Product Management, etc.
- A JMP customer (or two) who has had success in the specified topic. If two customers can join, they should be from different industries.
Who should I contact if I want to recommend someone for the panel?
Anne Milley is the primary point of contact to extend invitations to customer speakers and thought leaders. If you have someone to recommend, please let Anne know.
Who are the facilitators?
The facilitator will either be a JMP subject matter expert (Jeff Perkinson, Julian Parris, Anne Milley, Mia Stephens and others).
Who should attend the livestream event?
Anybody and everybody who is interested. The more the merrier. Marketing is focusing on inviting prospects for the goal of bringing in some new people for sales to talk with. We hope you will personally invite JMP users and not-yet-users from key accounts and companies. We know the personal touch is more likely to be successful than marketing blasts.
What does a typical livestream agenda look like?
The format has changed a bit based on our first “test” events. Now, we will have a keynote presenter to speak first for 45 minutes, followed by the panel discussion. The panel will reference and discuss items from the keynote address. The panel will also last 45 minutes to 1 hour, making the total online event 2 hours.
What is the follow-up for the livestream event?
Throughout the livestream, we will mention STIPS and related success stories and online collateral as additional learning resources. But the primary call-to-action will be to download the 30-day trial. Marketing will also send registrants a follow-up survey via email evaluating the webinar, and again recommending additional learning opportunities and the trial.
Will the online components be recorded and available online?
Yes.
