Fit polynomial over 8

Question

Hi,

I want to fit polynominal order of 20, but JMP script only allow me to fit polynominal up to 8.

Is there any way that I can do fit polynominal over 9?

You have answers to your question, but we still do not know the purpose of the plot or the polynomial model. If need a flexible model or interpolator, then you should know that JMP has other options besides a polynomial function for a linear predictor. We have several splines and LOESS, Guassian process models, functional data basis expansion models, and neural networks.

You could build your formula in the formula editor and treat it as if it were a nonlinear function.
