Resizing images in a journalWhen I paste an image into a journal, resize it, save it, then later reopen the journal, the image is back to its original size. Any remedies for this?
Re: Resizing images in a journalI often run into this as well, especially on the Mac, or going back and forth between Mac and Windows versions of JMP. I usually resize (crop) the image to the proper dimensions in an external photo editor before dropping the image in the journal.
Re: Resizing images in a journalI resize images in Paint first before putting in journal.
Re: Resizing images in a journalIf for some reason Dan's or Alisa's suggestions aren't what you're after, you can also do this with script buttons. For example, the "+" and "-" buttons in the "Slides into Journal" utility in the Journal Text Sledgehammer addin do this, to allow the journal user to increase or decrease the size of the image.
Re: Resizing images in a journalIs it a bmp file? If so, it might be related to this defect. I have had image resizing issue in the past on both Mac and Windows which were unrelated to the image type (journals did not honor image resizing), so I'm wondering if they are all related.
Re: Resizing images in a journalI agree on what was said, resizing and save as an image is the savest and you can use it in multiple journals just by dragging and dropping. In addition the + - scipt in Bradys Journal Sledge Hammer addin is good for that too, and better if you are in a situation where you need to increase or smallen the image due to screen size constraints.
