Saving custom map files; where/how do I do thisI am new to this...
The JMP documentation says to save the map files here for Windows: C:/Users//AppData/Roaming/SAS/JMP/Maps.
I do not have a folder that is called AppData.
Thank you,
Wendy

Re: Saving custom map files; where/how do I do thisHi Wendy,
Just save to the Maps folder in your JMP installation.
For example, for me:
C:\Program Files\SAS\JMPPRO\15\Maps
Hope that helps.
PhilRe: Saving custom map files; where/how do I do thisThanks, Phil. Weird thing is...I get an error that says I don't have admin access for my machine. Perhaps I should contact IT to figure that out?Re: Saving custom map files; where/how do I do thisThe folder is likely hidden.
You will need to go to Window File Explorer and choose Options > Change folder and search options
In folder options window click view tab then select show hidden folders files and drives.
Showing the hidden folder works on my machine.
If this does not work there is a less desirable workaround. Past files as administrator to C:\Program Files\SAS\JMPPRO\15\Maps . I believe the downside to this is that they go away when you install a new version.
Re: Saving custom map files; where/how do I do thisThe folder is hidden. You'll need to show hidden files (should be a check box under the View tab in the Windows Explorer). You'll have to create a Maps folder. You can also save it to the location Phil mentioned. This will put the map with the built-in maps. The advantage of the first method is that it keeps the custom maps separate from the built-in maps. You can also directly reference a map file using the Map Role column property.
Re: Saving custom map files; where/how do I do thisYou can access the AppData folder by typing
%appdata%
in the address bar (either in the Windows File Explorer or within a JMP save/open dialog).
