Lifetime Analysis @martindemel@martindemel
I need help for a lifetime analysis
We have performed pressure tests with certain intervals.
We do have
- 1 failure between 1 bar and 2 bar
- 3 failure between 4,5 bar and 5 bar
- 109 parts that passed 6 bar
How can I perform a life time analysis with JmP?
I do know how it works with Minitab, but not with JmP.
Best regards

Re: Lifetime Analysis @martindemelI hope some of the reliability experts will chime in. However I believe the format of the data table has to be changed so that JMP can work with it. This add-in from @ltw might help with transforming the data.
Re: Lifetime Analysis @martindemelI see counts of events (failure) but not for non-events. I see a ordinal categorical factor (pressure interval). I don't see life time, so I do not see how Fit Life by X can be used.
This data might be better handled with a Probit analysis using a binary distribution with GLM personality through the Fit Model dialog.
So parts failed the pressure test at low pressures, not high pressures?
