Hi,
I have a column with Date values, I need to convert the date into Mon-YY format as below?
I have tried it using calculator without success. can anyone help?
JMP does not have a built in format that will display a date value as Mon-yy, however, one can create Custom formats to handle just about any display one needs. To do this, just right click on the column header and select "Column Info". Click on the "Format" drop down arrow, and select "Custom". Then paste in the custom format from below and click OK, and then OK again on the Column Info dialog box. Your dates will now be displayed as you described
monList = {"Jan", "Feb", "Mar", "Apr", "May", "Jun", "Jul", "Aug", "Sep", "Oct", "Nov", "Dec"}; monList[Month( :value )] || "-" || Char( Year( :value ) - 2000 );
Just one suggestion...safer to use
Char( Modulo( Year( :value ), 100 ) )
in place of
Char( Year( :value ) - 2000 )
The first one works for any century...
