Help with repeated measuresI have data of fungal growth measured every 10 days for 50 days. There are 2 factors. Number 1: Pine present (yes/ no). Number 2: Agar type (agar, glass, low oil, high oil). Every treatment combination has an n=15. I would like to do a repeated measures on this data. I have tried a MANOVA repeated measures analysis but I would also like to run a univariate analysis. How do I set up a univariate repeated measures analysis with my data. Is it possible to run post hoc analysis or contrasts of repeated measure analysis in JMP? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a photo of how I set up my data for the MANOVA.
Re: Help with repeated measuresJames,
Not sure I completely understand your question, but if you want to treat the multiple measures taken over time as one Y, you can stack those columns (Tables>Stack). Enter the columns you want to stack (in this case the measures across time periods). JMP will create a new data table with all of the treatments and those results in one column. You can look at within treatment variation on a simple variability plot. You may also be a able to assess stability within treatment on a range chart. You can them summarize the data within treatment (Table>Summary highlight the column labeled Data and select statistics from the drop down menu. Include the treatments in the Group window) and get statistics for both the mean and variance (or other appropriate descriptive statistics, like perhaps rate of change or slope of the line). You can then do Fit Model on the new statistics to determine if factors affect mean, variation, rate, etc.
