The use of data to obtain Operational Excellence is a high focus area in the pharmaceutical industry. Organizations are making large investments to set up IT platform and infrastructure allowing real time data analysis to be performed on data from various sources. However, value is not generated until data are analyzed and results visualized and shared with decision makers, spanning from shop floor operators to top management, giving them information to make better decisions.In parallel with setting up the IT platform and infrastructure, organizations must make early pilot analyses to successfully demonstrate the power and value of data-based decisions.These pilots also give important feedback to the IT platform and infrastructure work. A 10-step road map will be presented staring with Product Focus:1) simplify; 2) lower the bar; 3) ensure data quality 4) optimize batch release; 5) product CQA trending. We will then move to Process Focus: 6) process trending; 7) predictive maintenance and manual process control; 8)in-line release testing; 9) automated process control;10) autonomous process control. Examples will be shown where JMP or JMP Pro have been used to generate value during the road map.
