Nonparametric Binomial Method in Reliability Test Plan?

Weibull++ is still being used by a very large customer because of it's ability to 'readily create a Reliability Demonstration Test using the Non-parametric Binomial method.' They would like our support to script this in JMP so they can get rid of Weibull++.

My question(s)...Is this already built into our SW? I do not see an option to run a Reliability Test Plan without defining a distribution.

Is there an analogous method that can help them achieve the same result as what they are getting from Weibull++?

If no to the above, does anyone already have a script that includes this functionality?

FYI, this is on the roadmap for JMP 16 (JSL) and JMP 17. A beta (Sample Size and Power) script including this functionality will be demoed at Discovery Munich, in case folks would like to try it out.

You can use the Nonlinear platform to solve for n. It's not as pretty, since you will likely get a non-integer solution. I'm attaching a table of how I set it up for the example you linked to.

Thanks Jeff. For clarification, it won't be demoed in Munich, but it will be in the JMP Lab for folks to try out. This functionality is still being worked on, but the hope is that it will be ready in time for Munich.
