Hi,
Within an advanced Analytics Workshop for BioPharma I talk besides FDE about Limit of detection (LOD) and LOQ (limit of quantitation). During
preparation I looked into several papers (also one from Di and one from Mark). In many of them Parametric Survivel on censored data is mentioned as the best approach. We often talk about GenReg as the best solution to handle censored data and show e.g. the Metacrate example for the LOD problem.
What advantage has the GenReg (and so JMP Pro) option over the Survival analysis?
I can see the shrinkage methods for automatic variable selection and the Solution path to be aware of overfitting, However is this really necessary in a Bioprocessing or Pharma context with the goal e.g. to reduce impurity? Those studies often do not have many factors I thought. May it is different in other industries. Or do I miss something?
Don't get me wrong, I just want to have a red line in my argumentation for future discussions and presentations. (and of course I would love to say JMP Pro is the thing you really need as otherwise you get to wrong conclusions)
