Any JMP Free Trial limitations vs. purchased JMP?A customer is asking if there is any limitation to the JMP Free Trial as compared to purchased JMP. For example, I've heard that the Excel Addin does not happen with the Free Trial version. True? Any other differences?
Thanks!
Re: Any JMP Free Trial limitations vs. purchased JMP?That may be the key, Brian. I'll check back with them to be sure. As I think back on the conversation, they did mention (in passing) that one thing they tried to do was save a table to PPT. I didn't think to stop them at that point. He may have given up on saving to PPT at that point, rather than trying to save a report.
Thanks for the clue!
Jerry
Re: Any JMP Free Trial limitations vs. purchased JMP?Pretty sure the only differences between the Eval and Full are that the Eval is 32-bit, and (not 100% sure on this one) they removed some of the localization on the languages to make the download smaller. Otherwise it’s basically the same.
Re: Any JMP Free Trial limitations vs. purchased JMP?They do know that it only works with Reports (and Journals, for Powerpoint), right?
Re: Any JMP Free Trial limitations vs. purchased JMP?Just spoke with a client who has been using the 30 day trial. He says that File-->SaveAs-->Powerpoint (or HTML or InteractiveHTML) are not active in his trial. Can anyone confirm that?
Re: Any JMP Free Trial limitations vs. purchased JMP?Hey Jerry the biggest difference I have run into between the trial version and the full version is the bitness. The standard trial is 32-bit while the full version of JMP is 64-bit. This will slow down the analysis on complex analysis and larger data sets. If the customer is complaining about the speed of JMP during the trial you might want to bring that up, but for the most part they are the same.
