Create Value for First Day of the Month

Would someone be able to tell me how I can find/create a value for the first day of the current month?

 

I have been looking through discussions and attempting different formulas with no success.

You could derived a formula from the elements illustrated here:

 

Names Default to Here( 1 );

now = Today();

month = Month( now );
year = Year( now );

first day = Date DMY( 1, month, year );

Format( first day, "MDY" );
