Using Hoovers to Find Companies by Industry and Location

Daniel_Valente

Thanks to @RebeccaSurendra for providing this step-by-step on how to use Hoovers to find companies by industry and location. This shows how you would look for semiconductor companies in your area.
Advantages to Hoovers: Global, matches our account validation process.

1. On the Hoovers home screen, select "Build a Company List".

2. Select a Location to filter to your territory.

3. Under Industry, Change to search by NAICS

4. Select “33441” to find all the Semiconductor and associated NAICS

5. View Results to see companies in your territory in these industry codes

6. Once you’ve identified companies you’d like to target, review the Contacts in the account.

7. Select Filter Contacts to narrow to our target audience.

8. Under Job Function, add Engineering and Research & Development

9. Now you have a list of individuals to contact in your territory with ideal customer criteria!
