The easiest way to create a new Topic page is to start by copying an existing page. Once a duplicate has been created, the new page's meta data and page content should be updated as notated below.
Note: In the EN Blueprint, Topic pages are located here…
https://aemauthor.unx.sas.com/sites.html/content/jmpbp/en/events/mastering/topics
In the “Page Properties” dialog, check the following:
- Confirm Title. It should ideally match the Page Name.
- Meta Description should be updated (maximum of 320 characters).
- Evaluate Tags:
- JMP : Application Area / x (pick the Application Area that most closely applies)
- JMP : User Level / x (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced)
- JMP : Event Series / Mastering JMP
- JMP : JMP Product Version / JMP x (If so desired… not required)
- Confirm “Hide in Navigation”, “Hide in lists”, “Reference Content” and “Folder” are all unchecked.
- More Titles and Description
- Update Alternate Listing Title – Enter a four digit “listing code”. This is what determines where this topic will appear on listing pages. It should correlate to the "User Level" tag as selected in step 3 (and also match manually entered text at the top of the Topic page).
- Basic topics start with a “1”
- Intermediate topics start with “2”
- Advanced topics start with “3”
- Update Description – This is what will appear on listing pages where we display a description. Actually… it seems we no longer list descriptions on our listing pages so I don’t believe this is currently necessary.
- On/Off Time – Add if so desired.
- Click “Save & Close”
Update/check all page content:
- Left Column:
- Check/update “User Level” text box.
- Update h1 (largest orange heading) to match Page Title (in Page Properties).
- Check/Update “Application Area” text box (text component should have a custom class of “application area”).
- Update topic description and “this topic covers” section.
- Right Column:
- For the on-demand webinar “Watch Now” button, relink List Group (at top of right column) to the corresponding page for this topic:
- Select component by clicking on it.
- Click wrench icon (“configure”).
- Click “Fixed List” in menu at top of dialog.
- Relink to correct page using the “checkmark in a box” icon (to right of URL path).
- Click checkmark in upper right corner of dialog.
- For the live webinar “Register” button, relink List Group (second from top in right column) to the corresponding folder in the /events/live-webinars/mastering-jmp/ folder (follow same steps as above). Instructions for creating new Live Webinars can be found here.
