Split column nameHello, how can I split a column label.
So far I have always done this with EXCEL.
Would like it but synonymous in JMP15Pro can.
In EXCEL 2019:
Column Name = QMHBS016AO_Ap_female_worker
= LEFT (B2; 10) -> QMHBS016AO
= RIGHT (B2; 13) -> female_worker
= LEFT (E2; 6) -> female
= RIGHT (E2; 6) -> worker
Many thanks for your help.
Re: Spaltenbezeichnung aufteilenYou could use LEFT in a similar manner, or SUBSTR. But WORDS might be easier.
cname = "QMHBS016AO_Ap_female_worker";
clist = words(cname, "_");<BR /><BR />show(clist, clist[1], clist[2], clist[3], clist[4]);
The log window will show this:
clist = {"QMHBS016AO", "Ap", "female", "worker"};
clist[1] = "QMHBS016AO";
clist[2] = "Ap";
clist[3] = "female";
clist[4] = "worker";Re: Split column nameHello,
thank you so much for the quick news.
cname = "QMHBS016AO_Ap_female_worker";
clist = words (cname, "_");
show (clist, clist [1], clist [2], clist [3], clist [4]);
Should this be stored in * a script or as a formula * for a column like
/ Substr (Empty (), Empty ()) /?
I want to get the split of (clist, clist [1], clist [2], clist [3],
clist [4]) * as new columns *.
the columnname of "QMHBS016AO_Ap_female_worker" is * label * and the columns
has 75000 rows.
Thank you
Mieke
Re: Split column nameHello,
I've found the solution.
Divided into 3 new columns.
Word (1,: label, "_")
Word (3,: label, "_")
Word (4,: label, "_")
Thank you for your help!
