Comprehensive design is a collection of things necessary for design. This includes a comprehensive design in a narrow sense (consisting of three stages: identification, modeling, and optimization) and a comprehensive design in a broad sense (5 stages with confirmation of realization and regression adjustment).A good approximation model is essential in scientific design. This acquisition requires selection of factors and identification of the structure (determination of the presence of product terms and secondary terms), which is the stage of identification. In this study, identification is performed by adding structural identification to screening for selecting factors.A decisive experiment (a plan in which an identification point is added to the screening plan) and subsequent statistical processing are the decisive factors. The modeling stage is to determine the model by estimating the coefficient of the necessary term based on the identification result. The decisive factor here is the use of custom and expansion plans. The last is an optimization stage that determines the desired level to achieve the design objective.Multi-objective optimization is the decisive factor here.By the way, since the optimization solution is a hypothesis, it is important to confirm its realization. If the solution is unacceptable, adjustment using regression is performed.By adding these two stages, the design in practice can be ensured.
