A client is building multiple control charts from a single data table. Using the Semiconductor sample data set, let's just use the first 3 columns: NPN1, PNP1, and PNP2. Using Analyze/Quality and Process/Control Chart/Run Chart, and dumping these 3 columns into the Process role, we get:

Note that the cursor is pointed to a specific point in the NPN1 chart, showing Row 60. If I right-click on NPN1 column and click on Label/Unlabel, then I get the right label for the first chart:

Label under pointer shows correct value. But if I point to something in the 2nd graph, I get:

The value is incorrect, and is actually the value for NPN1 at the given sample number.
Turning Column Label on for all 3 columns gives the values for all 3 columns, no matter which plot I hover over:

Generating 3 control charts separately (rather than in the same report) doesn't help. All values are still shown.
Is there a way to separate the labels so that the proper label shows in each graph?
Thanks,
Jerry
Thank you Phil! That is indeed a good workaround. (Too bad it doesn't work "intuitively"... I'll put in a support ticket about that.)
For posterity's sake (so I'll remember it in the future)... the workaround solution is to stack all of the columns of data for the control charts into one column, with a label column containing original column names. Then do Control Chart on the data column, and use the label column as the By variable. Then turn on Column Label. Works like a charm.
Thanks!
