Export model parametersI have a customer with a specific request to be able to generate a table of model parameters (ex. slopes from linear fit) grouped by some other column (ex. lot numbers). I know how to get the model parameters through the Fit Y by X platform grouped by lot number but not sure how to conventiently export all the individial fit parameters into a separate table. Example if there are 1000 lot numbers in data table, then desired table would have 1000 rows with lot, slope and intercept columns.
Any suggestions for this are welcome!
Thanks,
Mark Zwald
Re: Export model parametersGlad to hear this worked for them!
Cheers,
Brady
Re: Export model parametersThis is perfect. Exactly what the customer (Square) was looking for. I'll buy you a drink at kick-off
Thanks Brady!
Re: Export model parametersdt = astable(J(200,2,randomuniform())||J(200,1,randominteger(5)));
biv = dt << Bivariate(x(:col1), y(:col2), by(:col3), <<FIT line=""></FIT>
Re: Export model parametersThanks Brady, I see it.
Is there a way to script this solution? For example, right click on Fit Model parameter estimates and select 'make into combined data table'?
Re: Export model parametersThe parameter estimates section has the slope and intercept in table form. (Scroll down to the bottom of the report.)
Re: Export model parametersThanks Mike, I'll like into the response screening platform some more but it wasn't immediately obvious how to get the desired output from it. This might provide a more scritable solution than what Peter suggested.
Re: Export model parametersVery good, this works if the object is in a table format. The paramters from the Fit Y by X platform are not but the Fit Model platform will do this. Excellent suggestion!
Thanks,
Mark
Re: Export model parametersThere is a platform called “response screening” (or something like that) that does this for linear regression. I think it’s covered in the “fitting linear models” book under the help menu or wherever the other screening platforms are.

Re: Export model parametersHey Mark,
If I am understanding this correct. Try right clicking on the fit statistics window and selecting make into combined data table.
Does that get what you are after?
