Can I have my default background map?

Hi everybody,

I have a question related to graphics and to backcground maps.

The goal is to have some spread point and be able to check if they are in the good area. The customer doesn't want statistics per area but check if the measurement point is in the area. So He needs to have his own background map. How to create it and how to load it in graph builder? I just find things related geographics mappings, but what if it is a product or a customized area?

You have an example of what he is doing for the moment with XLS in attachment

I've done this a few times - and I have customers that create custom maps of many things, too. The workflow in the same between non-geographical maps and geographical ones. There is an add-in on the File Exchange that can be used to take an image and create a shapefile from it. As long as the units of the data and the shapefile are the same they can plot the data in graph builder without issue. The section on custom maps in Essential Graphing (Help > Books) covers where to put the maps to use them as backgrounds.
