JMP Webex: AMAT TDW Group Demo on 11/18/15 in Santa Clara, CA
1. Place, Date & Time

- Place: Santa Clara, CA
- Dates: 11/18/15
- Times: 4PM-5PM PST
- Meeting Type: JMP Demo Customer Webex
2. Background
- Meeting to review completed JMP workflows to show fit within AMAT TDW analytic database project
- Developing project to automate the gathering, anlaysis and reporting of critical process measurements from multiple tool sources
- Challenge: Minimum project development and data available (still building the data warehouse and working through requirements)
- Review with AMAT AGS TDW Team lead, Miller Allen, on 11/13/15 and his group on 11/18/15
3. Attendees:
- AMAT AGS
- Miller Allen – TDW Project Lead
- Mingte Liu – TDW Project Member
- Adolph Allen
- Sandeep M.
- Jovi
- TDW Team
JMP:- Brady Brady – JMP Global Enablement Team
- Stan Koprowski – JMP Customer Support
- Scott Wise – JMP Global Enablement
4. Meeting Purpose
- Review the completed JMP TDW Workflow Examples (walkthrough with scripts) with the TDW Project Team
5. Customer Needs
- Requested JMP example to automate the gathering, analysis and reporting for key TDW workflows for the:
- Adder Process
- Marathon Process
6. What Shown/Discussed
- Workflow Demo Notes:
- Noted that while end solution will pull directly from warehouse, these JMP example workflows will instead use sent Miller Test Files (like tool data from TDW & M2M-Adders).
- Workflow 1: Adder Analysis
- Goal:
- Find unique defect differences
- Flow:
- Prompt for folder location
- Assemble all files
- Clean up data & present master file:
- Show Distances Script helps identify an appropriate threshold
- Threshold variable can be changed as desired
- Create reports script allows data-supported visual anlaysis
- JMP Highlights:
- Ability to go from graph back to the subset data
- Utilized custom view with Graph Builder & Tabulate with Filters
- Interactive filtering on particle size
- Customer Q&A
- Discussions figuring out threshold variances (example was set at 30) on how the script finds unique defects
- Things not accounted before but not hard to script in specs:
- Effects on pre defects that don’t show up in post (will give a miscalculation on the tabulate)
- Effects on large number of particles on the wafer has an effect on tolerance?
- Sandeep: Output would be csv and could be outputted directly into JMP
- Screen Shots:

- Workflow 2: Marathon Process
- Goal:
- Particle Performance and variables to plot vs. kilowatt hours
- Flow:
- Prompt for file
- Import particle and marathon data
- Clean the data (remove non-formative columns, compute Qual column)
- Create a tabbed report:
- Particle Perfromance vs. KWH
- Graphs of parameters vs. KWH (Qual overlaid)
- Graphs of parameters vs. KEW (Tiled by Qual)
- Output Powerpoint slides of Qual overlaid graphs
- JMP Highlights:
- Column Switcher with Graph Builder and Tabulate views
- Push to PowerPoint
- Customer Q&A:
- Question on customizing scripts to find locations versus having things correctly standardized in the data warehouse
- Brady showed way to use the Excel Wizard to customize and then get the source script
- Screen Shots:

7. Customer Feedback
- Customer contact (Jovi) was interested in advice on getting it into their own scripting into this application (Brady can help out here).
- Customers seemed very excited and interested in the capability shown by JMP for use when they get the TDW project warehouse more built out.
8. JMP Opportunity
- Opportunity to ensure JMP tool usage fit (make it “stick”) within developing AMAT TDW analytic database project that can reach a large amount of potential JMP users throughout AMAT
9. Next Steps
- Dan to then work with Miller/Sandeep after the Wednesday meeting (possibly at next on-site visit on Dec 3rd & 4th) to finalize on JMP fit on the project and enable them to take it to the next level by handing project off to internal JMP Champion or seeking third party support for needed scripting as project deliverables get created and developed (pending on database creation
