- Interest in showing for more than just simple process data view (visualization and statistical techniques…process capability)
- Currently most of the staff is using Minitab for the process data view
- Want to be able to uncover the root cause…why is this process…different kinds of option to determine the factors that are influencing the process
- Get into various data mining techniques
- Content Shared During Last Call by Erich
- Showed Holistic DOE content for decision tree example
- Champions felt the Holistic DOE data set was very relevant to their work
- However suggested to lessen the DOE and emphasize more on the predictive modeling
- Recommended Demo Approach:
- Not use Holistic DOE in the title
- Show the current state in JMP as we understand it
- Can we do process capability…yes….but more value than in Minitab
- But then show what JMP can do to help their current state…then data exploration, root cause anlaysis, etc.
- Infatuated with Decision Trees for root cause analysis
- Only quick touch on DOE
- Hit all the important points
- Remember that talking to Chemist
- Current use of anlaytics
- Doing mostly batch chemistry (not specialty chemistry)
- Michael worked on product drifting out of spec and was able to come up with a model to show which process can be used out of spec
- Erich showed him how Decision Tree can tell him automatically what is out of spec
- Other Webinar Demo Info:
- Champions will want to use some of the demo time to show their work in JMP
- Right now two hours booked for the demo
