Non-modal new windows when using the "Dock the Window List in maximized windows" windows specific preferenceHi all,
I have a customer who really likes using the "Dock the Window List in maximized windows" preference. He notices that, while using it, the New Window() function automatically maximizes the window, which he does not want. He can avoid this by making the New Window modal, but he does not want that either. So, I am looking for help on how to create a non-maximized, non-modal custom platform dialog window for use when the "Dock the Window List..." preference is on and JMP is maximized. I believe this should be possible, as any of the other platform dialogs (Distribution, for example) appear as usual-sized windows that are not modal, but I simply can't figure it out!
Best regards,
Hadley
Re: Non-modal new windows when using the "Dock the Window List in maximized windows" windows specific preferenceI'd try the Set Window Size messageRe: Non-modal new windows when using the "Dock the Window List in maximized windows" windows specific preferenceThat was a good suggestion, but unfortunately it did not work. The window simply stays maximized.
Re: Non-modal new windows when using the "Dock the Window List in maximized windows" windows specific preferenceTry Maximize Window(0). Not sure this will work, since I can't reproduce the behavior (I have Dock the Window List checked, but New Window is not creating a maximized window). What version of JMP are they running?
