Hello Sidharth and Ganesh,
Thank you for giving us the opportunity once again to meet and provide guidance and support to your team. We have learned a lot about your business through these interactions. We would like to continue to help support the productivity group in 2016.
We discussed a few ways to enhance our partnership:
1. Helping recompile the Excel macros you currently use to automate data management and business process and move them to JMP, to provide more capability to apply statistical techniques to the data and gain better insight on your process. While we touched upon scripting in our session last week, I would encourage a couple people in your productivity group to work with us and become the local JMP Scripting experts, so they can help support the larger user group. I know a number of people in the group have programming backgrounds and with some time investment can learn the language relatively quickly. The experts can then build the “JMP macros” for reuse. We would be more than happy to help get them up to speed. I did send off a scripting book to Aziz.
2. You had suggested, Ganesh, that there may be opportunities to participate in the various symposiums sponsored by Applied Materials. Although these events are for internal users only you referred to some cases when vendors can provide workshops or training in adjoining locations to the attending engineers. We would like to participate in these symposiums in any way we can.
3. We also discussed a JMP Day. I had sent out a note to the AMAT JMP Sponsors a few weeks ago asking if they were interested and they response was positive. I’ll look to set up a conference call either in the next couple weeks or early next year to discuss the options around having a JMP Day event. There is a lot of flexibility in this format.
Thank you again for your time and look forward to a prosperous relationship in 2016. Have a great holiday and see you next year!
Kind regards,
-Dan
