Scott Wise, Beacon Account Team Lead – JMP Global Enablement Team
Updated: September 25th, 2015
-------------------------
New Completed Events for 09/25/15:
-------------------------
Overall:
- GE:
- This Week: Order from GE was placed for 62 JMP spread across world…mostly in Aviation, with some in Power & Water. Total $35K!
- 9/21/15 - GE France: Dan, Adrian and Nicolas strategized on selling to GE in France
- Vision of GE for Industrial Internet (SAS) vs. Selling to Science & Engineer (JMP) and leveraging division wins in Aviation + Power & Water
- Ways to integrate JMP for GE acquisition of Alstom France. Largest acquisition GE has ever made. Big for transportation and energy.
- Bottom line: Better leverage of international business.
- 09/22/15 – GE Power & Water - Schenectady, NY: Scott, Mike and David completed last Event for the Reliability Team (working for BJ out of Atlanta)
- Team was appreciative of the overview and eager to apply JMP reliability to daily analytic needs.
- Participated in RBD review the next day.
- Also got connection to another business area (Jonah in Renewables - Batteries) where they are automating analytics with scripting and already have 50 seats of JMP. Area is growing and soon to be own Business Division. So future opportunity for growth.
- 09/23/15 – GE Power & Water - Greenville, SC – Dan and Peng development meeting with Reliability Team Management.
- Net:
- Gained strategic insight on how they are using Reliability and how they can help efforts to improve the RBD in JMP Pro 13. Especially areas where BlocSim didn’t meet their needs.
- Current Tools:
- Why moving off Reliasoft (Weibull++ and BlockSim): Like addition stuff (platforms, visualization, etc.) in JMP and finding limitations in Reliasoft (hard to read in and manage data, run multiple models).
- However they are doing a lot in Excel today and they are very elaborate worksheets and homegrown tools. Opportunity for JMP to better interact with these files
- Mariusz using Sparta for RBD…but lots of coding and hard to use beyond himself.
- Comments:
- You guys provide great support!
- 09/24/15 – GE Power & Water - Greenville, SC: Call with Kimberly Pemberton and Team/Managers on how JMP fits into Reliability Automation Project.
- Way to integrate more fully by automating…we should commit to helping to facilitate and be part of that process.
- Project: Reliability Data Management – Analytics – Reporting automated solution involving hitting multiple databases, custom analysis, interactive reporting, and database results storage.
- Short Term: Local team will create working example with high level support help from Byron and WWTET.
- Long Term: Will look at Predictum to see if they can help with larger development of full project scope.
- 09/24/15 – GE Aviation - Cincinnati, OH: Conference Call – Dan, Brady and SAS Reps on Binary Linear Regression analytic needs.
- Handing over to SAS as a little sketchy on our fit (JMP would need to scale down to do anything & more capability in SAS)
- 09/25/15 – GE Healthcare – Salt Lake City, UT: Meeting with Dan, Dara and Scott to explored JMP Pro evaluation opportunity for customer complaint trend anlaysis.
- From Discovery – Agrawal teaching 100, 200 & 300 level analytic classes (Lee Becker counterpart).
- Dan suggest we sit down in Ohio and understand how JMP can help in designing this training.
- Corning:
- 09/25/15 – Corning, NY: Conference call with Jian and Den Neubauer to walk through the SSEMPaC process and see where JMP fits.
- Jian sent them one version, but call to understand better where to put JMP feature set into the right places of the tools.
- Comment: JMP is becoming more of a standard tool than Minitab. JMP is the most comprehensive fit into this methodology than any other tool.
- Next Steps: Jian put in his revisions, Dean shows to his Statistical Team, and then we will have sit down meeting
- Applied Materials:
- For Next Week – Santa Clara – CA: Dan and Don preparing for meeting next week with Sid’s DSM Team.
- Kathy Walker sending out material
- Internal JMP meeting on Importing, Exploratory, Significance Tests, DOE
- Samsung:
- Bid in process in Samsung Semi – Austin, TX for 100 JMP, 4 JMP Pro with Post JMP Pro Workshop if closed this quarter.
- 09/12/15 – Samsung Semi – Austin, TX: Meetings with Ben Eynon on JMP Engineering Training conversion
- 09/12/15 – Samsung Semi – Austin, TX: Meetings with Steven Tobin on JMP Pro Pricing and Workshops
- Next Week: 09/29/15 – Samsung Semi – Austin, TX: Meeting with SAS JMP Training (Ledi and Scott) with Ben to show what we can do for JMP Engineering Training Conversion.
- BASF:
- Next Week: Tony, Erik, Scott and Dan to call James Dailey – Global Key Account Manager to talk about using JMP in their DOE approach in their factories in Detroit. From Discovery conversations with Lou and more!
