Python library for building Windows or Mac GUIsAnyone familar with any? Recommendations? I'm just looking to do simple stuff, dialog boxes, simple text reports.
Re: Python library for building Windows or Mac GUIsJust a side comment:
Python is used a lot for building Web Interfaces aka GUIs in Web Browsers. Others using them for simple stand a lone GUIs. The thing is that you can build on a library of different button styles and others, as you also can do in MATLAB or some other languages/packages.
What they usually have all the same is that you have callback functions under the hood to do a specfic task, often source code or dll functions. However the way to build GUIs is more flexible in JMP. Not fuly sure about Python but at least in MATLAB you have a GUI Builder environment where you can add many elements and arrange them in the way you like (very granually if you like). Then you specify what each element should be capable of doing, adding code in the callback fields.
Unfortunately if I compare this with JSL, the latter is much more test and trial and work to get the correct arrangement. The functionality behind the scenes is kind of comparable from an effort point of view.

Re: Python library for building Windows or Mac GUIsFor me. Plus it helps me gain an understanding of the advantages and limitations of each method (JSL vs. Python)
Re: Python library for building Windows or Mac GUIsNo to be a smart alec or anything, but I know a great library for building Windows and Mac GUIs...it's JMP.
In all seriousness, what's the source of the question? Is this for you or a customer?
