OSI PI: Can JMP access also Asset Frameworks and Event Frames?

Question

A customer is using PI and they have data also in Asset Frameworks und Event Frames within PI. Is JMP or the Query Builder capable to access them as well as basic database data? This is a key requirement for a customer of ours to use JMP for their digitalisation project.

Hi @martindemel,

I need to test with an existing Historian environment.  But if it works then I can be confident it should work for this environment as well.

My approach might require a specific configuration to work but If the customer has licensed PI OLEDB Enterprise from OSI it might not be a problem.

PI OLEDB Enterprise would allow for access through an OLEDB connection to AF Elements, AF Attributes, and PI Event Frames, as well as, time series data originating from PI Data Archive.

I'll post back my test results as soon as I can.
