open SAS dataset using SAS variable names using JSL

Question

The open dialog has a check box for using the SAS variable names as JMP Column names, rather than using the SAS labels.

Does anyone know how to do that via scripting?

It may be more than you bargained for but IF you have SAS on your machine, you could use SASImportData.

SASConnect();
SASSubmit("libname mylib 'c:\mydata');   // use appropriate dir containing the data
SASImportData("mylib.mydata", UseLabelsForVarNames(false));
SASDisconnect();
