How to Display Specific Values in Overlay PlotHello everyone.
Using diabetes.jmp among JMP sample data, draw overlay plot as below. And to display specific values (LDL, HDL), we apply labels to both variables and all rows.

The result is an overlay plot like the one below.

The customer wants to see the value of the Y-axis, that is, the value of HDL, not the two values (LDL, HDL) at one point, so that the HDL value is displayed, and the point corresponding to the LDL is that only the LDL value is displayed. How can this be possible?
Thanks in advance.
Re: Overlay Plot에서 특정값을 display 하는 방법You can get this, but you need to modify the data table. Also, I would use the Graph Builder rather than the legacy Overlay Plot.
Stack the LDL and HDL columns. I called the Data column Cholesterol. the Label column I called Cholesterol Type.

To make things easier I only brought along the variables used in the plot. I also gave Age the Nominal modeling type.
I made the Cholesterol column the label column. I turned on the labels for all rows. In Graph Builder put Gender on the X axis, Cholesterol on the Y axis, Cholesterol Type the color field, and Age goes into the Wrap field (which is why I made it nominal).
You can use this stacked version of the data with the Overlay Plot as well, but you will need to use the Color/Mark by Column to specify the colors based on Cholesterol Type.
Re: Overlay Plot에서 특정값을 display 하는 방법I should include the graph, too.

I would strongly encourage the customer to use Graph Builder instead of Overlay Plot. It does the automatic jittering of the points so you can see how much data is in some of the locations. Plus, it does a better job of keeping the labels from overlapping, too. A much better graph for conveying the information.
Re: How to display a specific value in the overlay plotDan,
thank you. That's the result I wanted.
