- GE: $41,140
- Possible incremental orders from BASF Healthcare (UK for $3,500)
- Corning (5 or 6 JMP Pro possible)
- AMAT has incremental orders coming through
- Beacon Account Presentation at Europe Sales Meeting:
- 30Minutes to talk about the Beacon Accounts to Europe
- What can we accomplish in this time
- Adrian – How they can leverage that we can leverage success on some of these counts
- Signature accounts – Message around selling reliability into GE sites
- Also possible to talk about Samsung SARC success
- What is that success…business cases…ROI…For or five bullets…This is the value they are getting
- Next Steps:
- Dan to come up with preliminary slides and Scott to assist
-----------------------
Corning:
- Event:
- DOE/DSD Workshop completed on 08/26/15 in Corning, NY
- Strategy:
- Good meetings at DOE Workshop event and really helped Dan further define JMP beacon strategy for Corning
- Short term opportunity for JMP Pro with Divisional Areas
- Can see addition of JMP Pro and further adoption of JMP
- Another project going on like AMAT Technical Data Warehouse
- Like replacing a Corning version of DMAIC (SEMPAC) Structure (DM), exploratory, modeling, prediction and control
- Where they see JMP in this in the modeling and prediction side. See Tableau as the exploratory part of this. Karen Maxwell is the stat liaison on this.
- Asked us for some guidance on where we can fit in
- Have a meeting of the minds some point in the next couple of months
- Dan to get more info from Dean, schedule meeting with IT
- Groups of Focus:
- Corporate Quality
- Supporting quality at plant level (Karen Maxwell)
- Some plants have Stats background individuals, some don’t
- More senior and advanced group in analytics
- Group is a little more conservative and stuffy
- Dean Neubauer is our Champion and reports to Karen Maxwell
- Does the Stats training – Reliability, DOE.
- Moving from training in Minitab/Excel to JMP
- Next course to move into JMP is Basic Stats
- Put the JMP Day together last year
- Research:
- Statistics group that supports the research side
- Also beginning to use JMP in training
- Incorporating Custom Designer and DSD
- Contact: Howard Hovagimian
- Simulation and optimization research
- Using many tools
- Divisional Level:
- Bonnie Gallagher – oversees the Statistics Support for Environmental
- Other Divisions: (Display, Environmental – Ceramics Filters and Catalytic Converters, Optical – Fiber, Specialty Materials – Gorilla Glass)
- Interact between R&D and Plant
- Never had exposure to this group, but now got hooked up with Environmental now
- Only had DOE experience from GB course with Excel add-in
- Asked Mike Anderson and David Schultz to come back out and do a mini course on DOE
- Big opportunity to get the slow replacement at divisional level and get to trigger point.
- Next Steps:
- Call with Environmental Division: 12:30 to 1:00PM Central follow-up call with team and Bonnie to plan out next steps and come back DOE visit
- Dan to get more information on SEMPAC project
- Discovery Attendees:
- Will send four people to Discovery
- Rising star in Corporate Statistics group has moved to the Environmental - KC Volina
Samsung:
- Samsung HQ Visit:
- Jon working on getting meeting for John Sall with Samsung during upcoming trip to Korea.
- Been put into Sean’s hands but not getting anything back yet. (Dan to follow-up with Sean)
- But did talk to Steve Tobin (who now works for Sean) and now Steve has access to data.
- JMP Security Encryption:
- Security is now a non-issue for 32 or 64 bit application…they figured it out!
- So no security barrier to brining in more JMP.
- JMP Expansion:
- Want to double the number of licenses (100 to 200) in the next few months.
- Dan and Catherine will work to see if they can get them incented for even more.
- Justification for doing this is DOE
- New focus for their process engineer…DOE differentiates JMP from the other tools…and makes it easier to justify
- Strategy:
- Focus growth in the DOE area
- Training is key to that
- They are contracting with a Community College in Austin to help create a custom course for Samsung using JMP? Might have to rewrite this course with JMP.
- Nice to know a little bit more of this effort and be preventative
- Stats is a bigger part of this training
- Challenge:
- One of problem is we still don’t have a foundation of JMP users (Steve is still a SAS guy, etc.)
- Still trying to replace Nate and the Stat Trainer
- Discovery:
- Can’t really justify sending folks to Discovery, as they don’t have the JMP Champion.
- Catch up with Mohamed as they are pushing the DOE. See if Lou liked in with him.
- Next Steps:
- Dan to follow-up with Sean on Samsung HQ contact for John’s potential visit.
- Dan and Catherine to work on increasing JMP size for next order
- Dan to follow up with Ben to get more info on possible use of ACC Community College for Stats Training (and if so, tie out instructor with JMP Academic Learning Tools)
- See if Lou hooked up with Mohammed for possible Discovery invite for potential DOE Champion in his area?
BASF:
- DOE JMP Training completed by SAS Training along with Champion Meetings (8/24/15-8/25/15)
- See meeting notes from Catherine
- Next Steps:
- Schedule an internal meeting to review how it went
- Catherine and Mark call to get his take and see if we can get on these project teams with this plant
- Create step strategy for working with these folks
- Hard to predict revenue from this account yet…just have to see how this plays out
GE:
- Order for 68 JMP licenses ($41,000) just came in
- US and a few International
- Across Power & Aviation
- Organic growth
- Still looking for possible upgrade at renewal time period
3M:
- Nothing new to report
- Request for four JMP licenses that Bernard working with 3M Healthcare in the UK
AMAT:
- Discovery:
- Couple of people singed up from Discovery
- Next Meetings:
- Sessions with Brady, Stan and Sandeep set up
- Waiting on next batch Engineering Lunch & Learns
- Challenges:
- Still fighting impression that JMP is to advanced for the average process engineer…so some way to intro JMP to the casual or inexperienced user
- Next Steps:
- Get back to Chris Ying again as follow up from earlier meeting and plan to work with his group in particular
- Chris Olsen is the JMP evangelist, but Chis Ying (work with DOE) is driving JMP use at the street level
- Dan to check in with Deb by EOW to see where they are with SAS Training options
- Note: Did get a free copy of the e-Learning module approved through Deb
